About me

Macky Manzur (b. 1971) is a Peruvian artist based in Lima, Peru. She graduated in Law and Political Sciences from the University of Lima and worked for several years in the corporate world. After relocating to Santiago de Chile, she reconnected with her artistic sensibilities and rediscovered her passion for drawing and painting.

She has studied with renowned artists through workshops in both Chile and Peru and continued her training at the prestigious art school Corriente Alterna. Macky has participated in multiple group exhibitions in her country and in international art fairs. She was a Finalist at the Boynes Emerging Artist Award 2023 (Australia). Her works are held in private collections across Latin America and the United States.

Her artistic practice centers on the female figure, seeking a balance between the figurative and the abstract. She works with mixed media—acrylic, oil, and charcoal—to create images that merge emotion and form. Through these compositions, she aims to immerse the viewer in a range of feelings, capturing beauty in the poetry of everyday moments.

Macky’s inspiration comes from the women who surround her. Through her work, she conveys both their strength and vulnerability, offering a humanized and intimate perspective that defines her artistic voice.
